Mojo was a
real live crow who lived at the Centre. He came here in 1984 with
a broken shoulder and messed up wing. The shoulder got fixed but
the wing still drooped. However, he
was so impressed with the care he received from Birdsaver (Top Person) that
he decided to stick around for awhile
and help out.
During his
time at the Centre he was involved in the rescue, repair, and recovery of thousands of birds.
He told great tales
of birds that had gotten caught in strange and often dangerous situations.
He pretty well ran the Centre. He even had his own
office and private living quarters, where he welcomed visitors.
Mojo died at the begining of 2003 but his
spirit soars in the forest around the Centre!.
