From 1981 to 1995 information on birds admitted to the Centre was tracked manually.  In 1995 work was begun to develop an electronic tracking system which was implemented January 1, 1996.  To date there are more than 25,000 bird admission records in the system and this information is becoming widely used and referenced by individuals and groups for rehab and environmental purposes.

Novices and experts alike will find the data interesting.  One of the very first things we noticed when looking at data from our first two years of tracking it electronically was the striking similarity of the graphs of admissions by day/month for each year.  The model below is the pattern seen. This pattern without exception has repeated itself every year.  May, June, July and August will see us running to keep up with admissions.  Busiest days to date have been:
