Bird Window Collision Prevention
Many birds fall victim to collisions with glass windows. Preventing collisions can be achieved quite easily and are quite effective in preventing bird-glass collisions.
Window Films, Tape
There are numerous films and tapes which can be applied directly to the exterior of a window to make it more visible to a bird. THe DIY tape comes in strips, and needs to be applied to the outside of the window. Each strip of dots are spaced 2 inches apart for best results. Vertical frosted tape, or exterior window markers can also be used to a window to make it more visible. Horizontal lines need to be spaced 2 inches (5 cm) apart, while vertical lines need to be spaced no more than 4 inches (10 cm) apart.
